NY Salsa Company runs social dance nights around New York City — rooftop parties in Long Island City, late sets in Brooklyn, and socials in Manhattan. The music is salsa dura and timba, with son, bachata and rueda de casino through the night, played by DJs who actually dance.
You do not need a partner and you do not need experience. Most nights open with a beginner-friendly lesson before the floor fills up, and plenty of them are free to RSVP — you put your name down here, and the address goes out on the Instagram post. Paid tickets, when there are any, are priced before you get to the door.
